Creative Experiential Marketing Ideas

When it comes to experiential marketing, On Tour 24/7 excels at making the connections with consumers and creating a sense of community and relationship with them. We are passionate about engaging with audiences while selling and promoting your brand. Our world is ever evolving and, in some ways, engaging with customers may be harder due to technological advances. Experts agree that we are more disconnected than ever. Still, even with the challenges that come with our disconnected culture, event marketing is a bridge that can close the gap creating unique brand activities and experiences that do much more than just promote a brand or product. Here are some fantastic creative examples of ways that experiential marketing has successfully made consumers feel connected to a brand.

Pop Up Bars – Pimm’s Wimbledon Teapot

Pop Ups are a fun and creative way that retail brands have been marketing products recently. Pop Up bars offer all of the fun that pop up shops offer, with boozy offers and sleek social scenes. Pimm’s Pop Up Bar at the Wimbledon event was spot on. The beverages were dispensed from an enormous teapot ‘truck’ and themed tea party cakes and food were provided to patrons.

The 3D Oreo Vault in NYC

A few years ago, a mysterious Oreo vault appeared in NYC. It beckoned passersby to wonder, what is behind that door. The sign next to it said, “Open Here”, and it became a huge, viral hit. Those that were curious enough to pull the lever and open the door, were treated to a filled cupcake Oreo, well before this product ever hit the shelves.

Nike House of Go

Nike debuted a new product launch in Chicago, Mexico City, Buenos Aires, Melbourne and a few other cities around the world in a unique way by connecting customers with ways to experience their new shoe line. Not only did this pop up boutique feature high tech treadmills surrounded by animations filled with saturated colors and avatars that you could customize, but it connected virtual reality, their product and physical activity in one of the coolest ways we’ve seen in recent years.

Smirnoff Comic Book World

The vodka brand decided to really change things up a bit by treating visitors to its comic book event with a world that they could get fully immersed in. Visitors stepped inside of a gigantic comic book world and enjoyed a storyline, brand ambassadors and bartenders dressed as characters from the storyline, and fully became more aware of the brand. Our company offers models and characters for special events like this that you may be planning.

HBO’s Escape Room

The channel offered patrons to their event with access to escape rooms that were themed around their hit television shows such as Game of Thrones. These events took the popularity of escape rooms and tied it into the best shows that they want to spotlight.

Ikea Climbing Walls

For a new store opening, Ikea created a gigantic climbing wall with features from the inside of an apartment that had been turned on its side. Visitors could climb up the wall and over the bed and sit in chairs on the wall among other things.

Unique Elements Make Creative Experiential Marketing Ideas

As you can see, many times incorporating new or exciting elements can really take the creativity up a notch. When trying to create an innovative experience for the guest or audience you intend to think about using some of these qualities in your campaign.

Vivid Colors

Heavily saturated or vivid colors can really catch the attention of the public. If your booth or pop up is easy to see and stands out in a sea of other humdrum type of booths, then you’ll have more success at your trade show or convention.

Product Demonstrations

Allowing consumers to try out a product, or watch it being used is a key start to success at your next marketing event. We are an experiential staffing agency offering product demonstrators and brand ambassadors for your next event.

Tie in Pop Culture

If you can think of ways to tie in elements of pop culture that are recently gaining popularity or momentum you will stand out amongst others. Think about top shows, sayings, games, and other elements of the culture and try and incorporate into your plan for the event.

Add in Virtual Reality

These days adding in virtual reality to anything is a quick way to generate a lot of buzz at your event and guarantee long lines at the experience. You can make your product or brand literally come alive with pretty easy technology and methods. The headsets and pods look interesting, too. For instance, Jeep set up a virtual reality experience inside of a shipping container and created a fun test that users could enjoy while inside. Users were able to gain an understanding and connect more with the Jeep lifestyle.

These are just a few ways to improve your creative experiential marketing events and ideas. We offer the appropriate event staffing that you will need to carry out your event and plans successfully. We offer models, character actors, mascots, sales conversion leaders, and brand ambassadors that are equipped to ensure that your event is a big hit with guests. Let’s discuss your needs and ideas and we’ll provide a quote.
